These pictures are a culmination of different extraction years. You may notice more supers in one picture than another. Simply means some years we harvest more honey than others. I usually do not harvest from same year nucs or swarms. If my overwinter loss is low, I will have strong productive hives in the spring. If overwinter loss is high (2018 was a bad year for me) building up with swarms and splits are my priority. No matter how much I harvest, it is always a 2-day job. Pull the supers from hives on the first day and extract on the second day (and third, sometimes)
